Music Painting

Our class learned how to put music into painting. Kandisky was our example for this project. He expressed music with different expressions of lines, shapes and color. Kandisky also had some accurate measurement to make the pictures organized and not to like a big blob. Our task of this unit was to hear an Irish folk song, Reel around the Sun, and draw the music to the paper. With Ms. Bammi's example we heard the folk song and drew our best with the different thickness of markers. After we finished drawing, we used water color paint to color in the drawing.

It was really hard to draw the rhythms and others, but it was fun to learn how to draw music and learn the different artists, who used lines creatively.

Painting with Different Greens

Green could be made by 2 colours. Blue and Yellow. Ms.Bammi told us that if we mix more blue, it will be darker and if we mix more yellow it will be lighter. She also taught us about mixing these two colors to the strongest colour, black and the lightest color, White. Mixing is fun. A famous artist, Van Gogh was the first one to use mixing skills of one color to finish an master piece like this. He usually drew plants like trees and grasses, which has different kinds of green. Our first project in this class was draw and paint trees. The only paint we got to use was yellow, blue, white and black. Who do you think will be good at this project? Artist or a scientist? I think scientist, especially ecologist. They are excellent about plants and its colour right?
I learned that I could make a different greens by adding 4 colors. This project was a great experiment of mixing for me.
